The English Leicester Association of Australia

The English Leicester is a large framed longwool sheep that has been part of the Australian sheep industry for almost 200 years.

The English Leicester has a unique soft handling, lustrous fleece. It is highly valued by todays hand spinners, weavers and textile artists alike.

One of the a few true pure breeds, the English Leicester played a central role in to the evolution of the modern sheep industry.
